That LeAnn Rimes and Jessica Simpson seemed to put the past behind them on the set of their promo ad for the Academy of Country Music Awards?

The two country singers crossed paths years ago, when Simpson was dating Days of Our Lives star Jensen Ackles until he apparently cheated on her with Rimes. (Simpson mentioned that it was her “first heartbreak” on a 2004 episode of her reality show, Newlyweds.)

After the latest, very dark and serious episode of Supernatural, the show is moving to a lighter tone. The next episode, “It’s a Terrible Life,” is a bit different as it features Sam and Dean living separate, different lives as two guys who work in the same office building but don’t know each other.

It’s bound to be a weird one, and the CW has released three video clips from this episode of Supernatural. So if you want to see Sam possibly hitting on Dean and the triumphant return of the Ghostfacers, check out these three video clips from the episode.

It’s hard to figure out where to start when writing about last night’s episode of Supernatural? Do I begin with the Earth-shattering revelation that Dean was the one who broke the first of the 66 Seals, thus beginning the quest to bring Lucifer back to the world?

Or how about the fact that Sam is drinking demon blood by the pint and killing demons with a simple flick of the wrist? And then there’s Castiel, his doubts about what he’s doing, and his temporary allegiance with Anna. There’s also the little matter of two major Supernatural characters from this season being killed off.

But if I had to pick the one Supernatural moment that trumped all of the others, it would be Alastair’s revelation that Dean broke the first Seal.

A new episode of Supernatural is just a few hours away, and to get you ready, we have a painfully great clip from tonight’s episode, “On the Head of a Pin.”

In the episode, angels are being killed, and Castiel suspects that Alastair knows who’s behind it. Rather than interrogate himself, he asks Dean to torture Alastair until he gets the information out of him. Watch a scene with Dean and Alastair below.

The first thing to note is that this clip is awesome. Dean is strong, and Alastair is creepier than ever. I realize this kind of performance on this kind of show doesn’t get much recognition, but I’m pretty sure I’d nominate Christopher Heyerdahl for a guest acting Emmy for his brilliantly horrifying performance here.

But the biggest bombshell comes at the very end, and Alastair delivers a line that is guaranteed to send shivers up your spine just like it does for Dean.

Fans of the comic book Green Lantern stated, that they would rather see Jensen Ackles, Nathan Fillion, Josh Duhamel, Josh Hartnett, Leonardo DiCaprio, Chris Pine, Jake Gyllenhaal or James Franco than (unconfirmed) suggestions [of the studios] Sam Worthington or Henry Cavill for the title role in an rumored film adaption.

Ryan Gosling and Casey Affleck both turned down the lead role already.

The film centres on Hal Jordan, a pilot who finds a powerful ring and its lantern-like battery when a spaceship crashes on Earth. Jordan is selected to succeed the craft’s dying occupant as the next Green Lantern, a galactic guardian who is a member of an interstellar corps.

Worthington seems the more likely candidate but, as yet, this is all rumour and gossip.
