First of all, sorry for being a little bit late with this, but I’m exam preparation, so I don’t have much of the time I usually have for my sites. Anyway, I’ve uploaded screen captures for 4×21 – When the Levee Breaks. Enjoy.

Supernatural: Sam vs. Dean, Round 2

The levee wasn’t the only thing that broke on last night’s episode of Supernatural.  So did the brotherly bond between Sam and Dean Winchester.  As painful as it is to admit, their relationship was torn apart last night and it shows no obvious signs of repair.

The fight over Sam’s demon blood addiction has been brewing all season and it finally came to a head in Sam’s hotel room.  The basic argument is simple: Dean doesn’t want his brother to turn into a monster and Sam wants to do everything he can to stop Lilith.  Yet those fundamental differences caused the two to have a relatively short fight before Sam walked out the door.

The fight proved one thing – Sam is certainly getting stronger.  The fight between the brothers in “Sex and Violence” was a bit more evenly matched, but the one last night lasted all of two seconds before Sam knocked out Dean.  But Dean got in the last punch, telling Sam that he never wants to see him again if he leaves.  Sam thought about it for a second and left.

Sneak Peeks at the Supernatural Season 4 Finale

It seems like it was just yesterday that season four was gearing up to premiere with the opening episode Lazarus Rising in which we would see Dean Winchester () being pulled out of hell and restored to life and body by the angel Castiel ( who is set to become a regular in season five) and see Dean being reunited with his brother Sam Winchester () whom we would find out was headed down a dark path with the demon Ruby (now played by Genevive Cortese).

Now here we are coming up on the season four finale, Lucifer Rising and the two brothers who were grateful to be brought back together are now being torn apart by their own personal issues and by the angels and demons each as chosen to side with in a race to stop the apocalypse. Lucifer Rising guest stars as Bobby, as Ruby, as Castiel, Katherine Boecher as Lilith, Kurt Fuller as ‘Zachariah’ and Rob Benedict as ‘Chuck.’  the episode was written and directed by .

TV Review: When the Levees Break

In the penultimate episode of the season, Sam and Dean go at it like never before

This was a long time coming.

The split between Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles). Ever since “Sex and Violence” when the Siren turned the two against each other and had them fight it out over its affection opening up a slew of worms between the two, we knew this day was coming.

“You walk out that door don’t you ever come back” the same line daddy Winchester used to Dean long ago was a fitting end to the episode.

A split between the brothers that’s as far as it ever has been. Sure they have had their differences before even to the point of splitting up the duo. But it has never been like this. Sam leaving in a huff, off to supposedly kill Lilith for revenge for sending Dean to hell and in order the stop the apocalypse from coming.  Sam thinks that Ruby is on the same page and is tracking Lilith down in order for Sam to have the confrontation with her and presumably destroy her.

An interview with Jensen Ackles

Technology, Dean and movies

Stavrou: You started on Days of our Lives then went onto Dark Angel, Smallville and now Supernatural. How was the transition from daytime soap opera to prime time?

Jensen Ackles: It’s been good. To be honest, with the soap opera’s daytime format, you really learn a lot very quickly. It’s almost like boot camp. Within the week you either know your lines, hit your mark, find your light or you just sink.

So it’s kind of like tossing someone who doesn’t know how to swim into a pool and seeing if they’re going to survive. Sink or swim.

I think that early on (I think I was 19 when I started on Days of our Lives) it taught me a lot about the technical aspects of acting.
