| A Death on ‘Supernatural’ |
There are plenty of great episodes ahead for Supernatural, with magicians, high schools and Dean driving a Prius (more on that last one can be heard in our upcoming exclusive interview with writer Sera Gamble). Kristin at E!Online recently got word on another episode that features Dean and Sam posing as ghosts to uncover the sudden death of reapers. The big news Kristin has today is that in this episode, “a character we know and love dies.” While she doesn’t reveal who ths mystery death is, it shouldn’t be too hard to figure out because, as any Supernatural fan knows, there aren’t a whole lot of characters we “know and love.” It definitely takes Ruby out of the running. My first hunch is that Kristin is using a bit of trickery. Since the boys pose as ghosts, maybe they have a spell that lets them die so they can become ghosts, but then be brought back to life after it’s over. Except for this possibility, I think we can all safely assume Dean or Sam won’t be the one to die. |

| The CW Finally Gets Some Awards Respect (Yours) |
Awards season is here, and as per bah-humbug usual, the fancy trophy-giving institutions seem poised to shut out the Littlest Network That Can. It’s hard out there for a CW show, but the industry elitism ends here and now, because we know how much good stuff is going on at the See-Dub. Therefore, in an effort to redress these wrongs, we are launching the first ever CW Awards. The question, of course, is which CW actors, auteurs and series deserve to take the top spot, and only you can decide the answer, so drop in and vote… |

| A closer look at ‘Supernatural’s’ plans for the new year |
Can you wait a full month for new episodes of “Supernatural”? No, I can’t either. But we must, alas; the show returns Jan. 15. The episode descriptions for the first three outings of 2009 are below. Upcoming guest stars include Barry Bostwick and Helen Slater –anyone old enough to remember her as “Supergirl”? I saw that movie in the theaters (I’m old). However “Smallville” fans may know her as Lara-El. “Family Remains” – airs Thurs., 1/15 at 9 p.m. E.T. on the CW Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) investigate a house that appears to be haunted, but when an unsuspecting family moves in they find that it’s actually occupied by something much more sinister. Guest starring David Newsom and Helen Slater. “Family Remains” was written by Jeremy Carver and directed by Phil Sgriccia. “Criss Angel is a Douche Bag” – airs Thurs., 1/22 at 9 p.m. E.T. on the CW |

| ‘Supernatural’ Writers Preview the Remainder of Season 4 |
Earlier today BuddyTV interviewed three of Supernatural‘s best writers: Sera Gamble, Jeremy Carver and Ben Edlund. While the full interviews span about one hour’s worth of great Supernatural discussions, those will be released over the next few weeks as we lead up to Supernatural‘s return on January 15. But there was so much goodness to come out of these interviews that I have to share a few of the coolest bits right away. From the 66 seals and angels to Sam’s role and “Criss Angel is a Douchebag,” there was no Supernatural topic past, present or future that we missed. Here’s a sneak peek of what’s to come in the second half of season 4. WARNING: Minor spoilers ahead regarding upcoming episodes |

| Submit Your Questions for Three ‘Supernatural’ Writers |
Though Supernatural fans love stars Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki, it’s the show rich stories and brilliant writing that helps make Supernatural truly stand out. Tomorrow BuddyTV is interviewing three of the show’s top writers, and we want you to submit your questions. BuddyTV will talk to Supernatural writers Ben Edlund, Sera Gamble and Jeremy Carver. Post your questions in the comments section below, and we’ll try to ask as many as we can so you’ll have the chance to find out what you want to know from these great writers. Ben Edlund has been with Supernatural since season 2 and has penned some of the show’s funniest episodes, including “Bad Day at Black Rock,” “Ghostfacers,” “Monster Movie” and “Wishful Thinking.” Also a comic book artist, he created The Tick while still in high school. Edlund also leant his unique blend of comedy and drama to Angel, where he served as producer and writer, authoring “Smile Time,” also known as the puppet episode. |
