Question: You have to stop teasing Supernatural fans about this big Winchester brawl that’s going to happen in the season finale. Just answer us this question: What causes the big hoopla? Ash
Ausiello: I honestly don’t know. Maybe it has something to do with Sam’s demon blood addiction. Or maybe it’s fallout from a certain death that’s coming up in April. Or maybe… nope, those are the only two theories I’ve got.

The nominations for the 7th Annual Rondo Awards have been announced and the Supernatural 4th season episode ‘In the Beginning’ has been nominated in the category of ‘Best Television Presentation’.

‘In the Beginning is up against some stiff competition such as ‘Battlestar Galactica’s ‘Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner?’, Lost’s ‘There’s No Place Like Home, Parts 1 and 2,’ and DOCTOR WHO, ‘Silence in the Library/Forest of the Dead,’ to name a few of the nominees.

What is the Rondo Awards you ask? Well according to the website they are Awards nominated by fans, for fans. Every Rondo nominee listed on the Rondo website is being recognized for a significant achievement in the genre — great filmmaking, strong writing, significant scholarship or just plain fun.

If you’ve already circled March 5 on your calendar, I hope you wrote it in pencil. While Smallville and Supernatural were originally scheduled to return with new episodes on that day, today the CW revealed that their returns are being pushed back yet another week to March 12.

No official reason was given for this delay, but odds are it has something to do with a little show called American Idol. On March 5, American Idol will have its final semi-final round where the judges select the final three singers who will compete in the Top 12.

Rather than put new episodes of Smallville and Supernatural up against it, the CW may be holding them back one week so that their shows aren’t in the line of fire of TV’s most popular show. The delay may frustrate fans, but when looking at the bigger picture, it may be better to avoid the slaughter.
