Jared Padalecki Interview

Here are some extracts of an interview Jared has given for his new movie Friday the 13th. The extracts are about Supernatural, that’s why I’m posting it, obviously ;D…

Q: You and Jensen Ackles have dualing slasher movies now. How weird is it that your ‘Supernatural’ co-star had a horror movie come out right before yours?

Jared: I know, yeah. When we found out that we were coming out on February 13th and his movie is obviously called My Bloody Valentine, we were like “Oh, man, I hope they don’t go up against each other” because we’re buddies and it’s not like it’s really going to affect anything but it’s like, you know, I don’t really want the stigma but, luckily, his already came out and did tremendously. Now, it’s my turn.

Q: Both of them are good. Did he say to you, “But mine is in 3-D”?

Oh, Brother! Exclusive Supernatural Casting News

jake-abelIs there a third Winchester sibling among us? It certainly would seem so, and Jake Abel (Threshold) is playing him, TVGuide.com has learned exclusively.

Abel has been cast on the CW’s Supernatural as Adam Milligan, an 18-year-old whom Sam and Dean meet in an episode titled “Jump the Shark” and airing April 23.

Adam, viewers will learn, is the by-product of a little somethin’-somethin’ that big daddy John enjoyed during one of his demon hunts. Upon eventually being told by a onetime paramour of Adam’s paternity, John paid the lad the occasional visit. Never, though, did John alert Sam and Dean to Adam’s existence, nor vice versa.

‘Supernatural’ Aftergasm: Sam vs. Dean, Round 1

Last night’s episode of Supernatural will probably go down as one of the most important in the show’s history. It marked a turning point in the relationship between Sam and Dean, the moment when their fears and anger and rage boiled to the surface. We can blame the Siren on the epic battle between the Winchester brothers, but the underlying feelings were real.

The Siren made them fight, but I don’t believe the Siren also forced them to say the things they said to each other. Dean said Sam has changed and that he’s keeping secrets and doing things behind his back. Sam accused Dean of being weak and unable to face the truth about what they have to do. When you look deep inside the boys, nothing they said was a lie.

First, it’s important to examine the circumstances. The Siren had the ability to take the form of whatever its target most desired. In an episode full of strippers, for Dean, the thing he most desired was a guy who loved 1967 Chevy Impalas and classic rock. The person Dean wanted most was a little brother just like him.

Kripke’s original plans for the end of S3

Originally taken from the Supernatural Magazine, which I’m going to add to the Gallery tomorrow.

Are there any storylines from season three that were lost because of the writers’ strike that have found their way into season four?

Eric Kripke: “We didn’t have time to tell the story about Sam’s powers, and all that had to push into season four. In the original versions we were thinking of before the strike, Sam was going to save Dean, and in typical Supernatural fashion, it was going to cost the boys dearly. But because we didn’t have the time to develop Sam’s powers, there wasn’t really anybody left to save Dean, so Dean had to go to hell.”

Sam was actually going to save Dean?

Ask Ausiello: Spoiler on Supernatural

Question: Why do you torment me so? You decide to devote an entire column to one show and you choose Grey’s Anatomy?! How about an all Supernatural column? — Katy
Ausiello:
Would you settle for an all Supernatural answer instead? The final three episodes of the season can be summed up in three words: Dean vs. Sam. Also, the kid who plays Mary Louise Parker’s son, Shane, on Weeds has been cast as a ghost in a spring episode.

Supernatural Take a Break After This Week

It may feel like Supernatural just got back from its winter break, but the CW’s Thursday night line-up is poised to take yet another hiatus. After this Thursday’s new episode, the show will take three weeks off, returning with new episodes on March 5.

The break is most likely due to the revised sweeps period. Typically in February, the Nielsen ratings are used to help determine advertising rates, so many shows will put on their biggest and best episodes. However, due to the expected nationwide conversion to digital TV on February 17, that time period was moved to March.

Thus, shows may take a break in February and return with their big episodes starting March 5. The ironic part is that the move, originally done because of the digital conversion, is now moot since Congress decided to push back the conversion until the summer.
