Titan Books announces ‘Supernatural: The Official Companion Season 2′
From a Titan Books press release:

"From the producers of The O.C. and The X-Files, and starring Jared Padalecki (Gilmore Girls, House of Wax) and Jensen Ackles (Smallville, Dark Angel), Supernatural is the hit series that takes viewers on a spooky road trip through the dark heart of America.

"Now Titan is giving fans the chance to get up close and personal with the good, the ghastly and the gorgeous of the programme's second season, in Supernatural: The Official Companion Season 2 [£9.99, 25 April 2008].

"Brothers Sam and Dean Winchester cruise America's back roads in their 1967 Chevy Impala, on a mission to hunt down the demon that killed their mother and reveal the secret behind Sam's mysterious powers. Along the way they confront creatures most people believe exist only in folklore and nightmares, including vampires, werewolves, ghosts, djinn, hellhounds and even murderous clowns...

"This second official companion features a foreword from executive producer/director Robert Singer, plus an abundance of exclusive comments and content from series creator and executive producer Eric Kripke.

"Also included is a complete season two episode guide, and pages packed with exclusive interviews, dozens of photos, including a 16-page colour gallery, and behind-the-scenes secrets, including a Meet the Crew section on the writers, editors and make-up designers.

"Warner Bros. International Television Distribution's Supernatural is a prominent show for The CW in the US and for ITV in the UK, and has garnered acclaim from audiences and critics alike, earning nominations for Primetime Emmys and a Saturn Award.

"Titan is launching graphic novel Supernatural: Origins in May, followed by original Supernatural novels in June and September, and with season three just begun on ITV2 – the UK's most watched digital channel – now is the perfect time to get to grips with the guys and the ghouls with Titan's companion.

"Nicholas Knight is the pen-name of Nick Andreychuk, author of Supernatural: The Official Companion Season 1 and a seasoned writer in the genres of fantasy and horror, who has also worked as an extra on numerous Vancouver-based television shows."

Supernatural: Fighting evil has never looked so good.
With supernatural and horror genres becoming more and more popular, there are a lot of slayers, witches and warlocks to choose from. So why not pick the hottest of them all? Jensen Ackles returns for the third season of “Supernatural,” with a big change in his character’s attitude. His clear blue-green eyes are enough to turn a monster into a little puppy. Why all the ghouls and goblins haven’t noticed his good looks, I will never know. How can you be scared with Jensen around?

Any new surprises happening in the third season that we should know of, that you can tell us?

JENSEN ACKLES: At the end of the second season there was a deal that was made, and so that really kind of puts it towards the third season, and it kind of switches up the driving force a bit. Now that Dean has been given a year to live, he’s not as proactive on wanting to hunt down the ghosts and demons and spirits, and stuff like that. He’d rather pick up a couple of girls and head to Atlantic City and enjoy the night … So it’s interesting now, because Sam is really the driving force behind where the two brothers are going and why they are doing what they are doing. And Dean is all the time saying, “Let’s enjoy ourselves. Let’s have fun.”

Supernatural Sibling Receives Bloody Valentine
One Winchester brother is off to fight Voorhees in Friday the 13th. The other, it was announced today, will go head-to-head with Harry Warden in Lionsgate's My Bloody Valentine 3-D.

Jensen Ackles, of Supernatural, "will play Tom, a handsome, principled man who returns to his home in Harmony, Mo., 10 years after 22 people were murdered on Valentine's night. Back in Montana, Tom finds he still is smitten with his first love, Sarah, and is now a murder suspect." Sarah, it has already been announced, will be portrayed by Jaime King.

Patrick Lussier is helming this remake of the '80s Canadian slasher film.

In Supernatural, Ackles is Dean Winchester who, with bro Sam (Jared Padalecki) take on freaky, paranormal cases. Ackles' other credits include 2005's Devour.

Supernatural Season Four Confirmed
The Winchesters' journey continues
The CW has announced early renewal of several of its series for the 2008-2009 season, E!Online reported. Among them, the cult hit Supernatural has been renewed for a fourth season. That should put the worries of the series' dedicated fan base to rest.

Supernatural is a show "on the bubble," and its renewal was somewhat in doubt. The show averages around 3 million viewers a week, which makes it a stable series for The CW. The last of Supernatural's episodes produced pre-strike, "Jus in Bello," raked in 3.23 million viewers, making it one of the highest rated episodes of season three.
